About the Central Office for Administrative Information

The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) launched, on 21 January 2002, the Central Office for Administrative Information, a one-stop information shop consisting of two parts: a phone help line (1700) and an internet website www.informs.gov.lb. At the time of the launch, both the help line and the website contained a list of addresses and phone numbers of ministries and public agencies as well as information about administrative procedures.

The Central Office for Administrative Information continuously improves, adds and develops the information of the help line and the website in order to adapt it to the needs of their users who are now able to discover the newest administrative developments, calculate their car registration fees or find about bus routes and schedules. Additionally, the database of addresses and phone numbers now includes diplomatic missions, governmental hospitals, municipalities and syndicates.

The Central Office for Administrative Information is also working towards making e-government a reality by introducing interactive PDF administrative procedure forms. Users are able to fill them up on their PCs and print them out before presenting them to the concerned administration.

Our website changes frequently and constantly.
